I was excited to receive an ARC titled Ledge. So much so, I did not read the description or the bold ‘SAMPLER’ stamped on the cover and as such, I did not realise that my copy was essentially a teaser, carrying only the first two chapters of the full Book One (Ledge, 2022).

That said, Stacey sure did pack in a lot: backstory, spice, some world building, heightened sense of danger and a desire to know what will happen next.   Questions like - how on earth did they get here - were answered too so it’s good to know (and hope) the pace of the trilogy will be thrilling.

Upon further investigation - which I should have done to start with! - it looks like fans of this world can enjoy this year as the final, concluding edition joins bookshelves in September. Just in time for the ember chills.
