January 6, 2014 Oreka Godis Dear #Becca you were there for me when #Iman #FashionFair #MAC #BobbiBrown #Prescriptives and other makeup lines gave me nothing but angst. Where I reacted to their toxic ingredients, you offered lighter alternative. Instead of heavy, cakey, reddish, ‘who goes there’ makeup, you helped me embrace my own face. There’s nothing wrong with barely-there-makeup you said as you released my skin from the bondage of horrible breakouts. You can have matte or luminous makeup, that glowing-from-within look, you said. You don’t have to be loud, you said. Just be you because it’s okay to want something different. It’s okay to want makeup that feels more like an extension of your skin care range. You gave me great SPF options long before some brands bothered to catch up. We’ve had beautiful times together and I thank you. However, after eight (possibly more?) years of your careful conditioning, I’m going to have to start cheating on you with some wholly #Organic and #Natural #Cosmetics. If they win, you’ll lose me forever but we’ll always have the memory of our first meeting at #Fenwick. Right now, it’s #Sample season. First up, #VapourOrganics #Tester #EcoGlam #Black #Women need more #Makeup options #NoMoreDirtyLooks
