This Dope Queen: Jessica Williams
This gorgeous brainiac left Comedy Central's The Daily Show last week and I am going to miss her. Thankfully though, I don't have long to wait to see her again as she reportedly WILL be back on Comedy Central to host a show of her own so, yay.
I am glad that she has found the courage to strike out on her own as just a year ago, she took herself out of the running as a potential replacement when Jon Stewart's seat was seeking a replacement - citing, that she was far from experienced/qualified enough to take on a show of its nature.
Fact 1: I'm not hosting. Thank you but I am extremely under-qualified for the job!

There was also some buzz from POC who really were not pleased that she didn't want to stay in the race but then (my-mate-who-reminds-me-of-Fade-Ogunro) Jessica was very clear about what her goals were and being considered simply because she is young, female and black didn't cut it for her. I respect that and am very interested to see what she does next.
When (my mate) Jessica was hired by The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, she was the youngest and first black female correspondent in the Comedy Central flagship’s history and even in her absence, she continues to strike a cord with audiences that want to be 'woke'. Just listen to her here on 2 Dope Queens; a series that I have immediately added to my #PodIn list.
